Each garden is different and each project is taylor-made. Below I describe three kinds of service, but I am flexible and will listen exactly to what you need.
Full garden design
A detailed, scaled Master Layout Plan of your new garden. The result of an in-depth creative process between you and me.
Inspiration kit
A pack of ideas, images and sketches which will inspire you to make the changes you want.
Planting plans
A design which specifies beautiful plants suitable for your site, giving year round interest. One border, or the whole garden, whatever you need.
Choose the type of help you need
Garden design
You and I will go through a thorough creative design process (including moodboards, a questionnaire, sketching and refining), resulting in a professional standard, hand-drawn (but digitally rendered), scaled master layout plan. This contains all the details needed to hand over to a landscaper to build your new garden.
Inspiration kit
This package is for when you don’t need the technical detail of a full design, but might want some advice, ideas or inspiration, perhaps for certain parts of your garden. This might include mood boards, sketching and plant suggestions. I will explore ideas with you, and help create an action plan.
Planting plan
This is a detailed plan of your borders where the exact position and quantity of each plant is shown. Planting schemes will be designed for year round impact, using the colours and styles that you like. I can source plants at trade prices and organise the planting of them should you wish. I can also create a maintenance plan outlining how to care for your new plants.
I have been a professional gardener for nearly 20 years, caring for gardens in Bristol and North Somerset. In 2019 I gained a Garden Design Diploma from the prestigious Cotswold Gardening School, graduating with a distinction. I have been designing gardens ever since. It delights me how different each one is. I particularly enjoy the collaboration process with each client, ensuring that they get a garden that is absolutely right for them. I still enjoy picking up a spade and getting stuck in though, and spend at least one day a week working outside in a garden.
Every single garden that I design has increased biodiversity and sustainability at the heart of it. I believe that gardens should be full of plants, wildlife and fresh air, and that in turn automatically creates a space that is a pleasure for us humans to spend time in.
